The people who frequently attend the fan party's agreed that this year's NYE party should be in Amsterdam.

The dates will be from Thursday 31st until Sunday 3rd. Of course, everyone can come and join whenever he/she can and wants to, even if it's just for an evening. We'll be glad to have you.

I think it's good to start brainstorming about activities, wishes etc. for this year's NYE party.

I actually have to save my earned money most likely for my apprenticeship next year + holidays in America + P!nk concert. So I guess I won't be coming to Amsterdam. In addition to that I just can take 20 days off in the next 9 months. No chance for me.

The hotels Joost suggested seem to offer triples as we (Joopy) had in Cologne - so I hope you can make it somehow... We'll see. Travelling is expensive, so...

Joost, I like both of the hotels, but didn't try to book at the second, therefore don't know how much they want. But if they are in a good spot (centre), I would already agree and most probably share with two other people...

When I was in the Netherlands we made a trip to Elfteling which I loved. Most of us had fun in Phantasialand last year, so maybe this might be an option again (since I don't think we'll be over 20, the entrance fee would be 28 Euro).

We should make a boat trip in Amsterdam... (I was in the Dungeon once and didn't find it worth the money :)). Karaoke would be fun again, too. I'm sure Joost will find nice gay bars ;-).

Joopy, I hope you can make it to this party! Maybe you can try with Easyjet. They normally have good rates from London to Amsterdam.

Aileen, De Efteling sounds like a good idea It's a great park and the trainride from Amsterdam to Tilburg takes about 1 hour and 22 minutes. From there you have to take a bus to the park. It's closed on January 1st though. Is the park open on the other dates? I couldn't find it on the website.

I just looked at flight prices and they are excellent. Now a route to cheap accomodation and I can probably make my mind up.

Okay, I think four people sharing a room is not possible for the hotels Joost has posted. Maybe the ones that want to have a cheaper stay should try to find a hostel near the hotel the rest will be staying at.

I couldn't find prices for the special holiday NYE and winter season on this webpage: www.amistad.nl and furthermore it says that you have a sink in your room when you book a standard room, but that showers are shared which could mean there are on the floor not in the room which I don't fancy too much.

A triple room from Dec 31st until Jan 3rd would cost 450 Euro (150 Euro each)
and a double/twin room: 360 Euro
and a single room: 210 Euro

I find the prices reasonable for the season and we would have 3 Euro off for Mme Tussaud's haha... Booking can be done via valid credit card number. It doesn't seem to be that close, but still in the centre. I prefer this hotel!
