Not sure if this is old news for you but apparently, tatu's creator, Ivan Shapovalov, is in critical condition:

From what I understand (Google Translate) he was diagnosed with brain cancer and, instead of getting proper medical attention, attempted alternative "treatments" which allowed the tumor to grow out of control.

The tumor was localized (no metastasis) but it had deformed his skull and pushed one of his eyeballs out of the socket The doctors still gave him a small chance. I guess all those years of drug and alcohol abuse finally caught up with him.

It's unfortunate since he really made Tatu great and maybe he could have worked with them again.

I remember back in the day lots of people bashing him about "exploiting the poor girls" and how much better they would be without him ... well ... we all saw how that worked out.

Let's not bury him prematurely. They put 10 year old photos of him side by side with the way he looks now?? After several rounds of chemo and (possibly) brain surgery to remove the tumor ... I think he looks good ... all things considered. He does have a reasonable chance of survival since the tumor was localized.

What I find most surprising is that he had to recourse to public donations He received $1 million from air-play rights of ATTSS in the US alone, so how it has come to this is beyond me. He probably got sued into oblivion by Kiper & friends ... well, at least they seem to have buried the hatchet. I know that he contacted both Lena & Yulia regarding some songs he wrote, but AFAIK it was for their solo careers. Yulia said she didn't have time for it (??) while Lena didn't like the song. This was before they found out about his disease.
