This was really unexpected. I'm so happy for Lena.

Problem is, Billboard makes it sound as if Dave Audé was charting WITH Lena, not Lena WITH Dave Audé. Anyways, it's a great result.

Just watched the "melody" teaser on youtube, and i can't wait to hear the full song. This sounds so interesting and Lena just looked so beautiful in the video. I hope this song ends up a good success for her too. If u haven't had a chance to check it out, DO IT!

Guys the official singles chart in the US, the one that actually means something, is the Billboard Hot 100. Lena is not on this chart.

Lots of people take notice of the genre charts and it's often used in promo adverts. I've often heard ad's with "topped the billboard dance chart and classical charts etc used"

I'm sure lots of people care if they top the R&B chart or the rock chart so being high on the dance chart is no less of an achievement. If it didnt mean anthing then there wouldn't be the seperate charts. And many of the billboard records etc wouldnt stand if it was just based on the main hot 100. Cher's record of a number one single in each of the last however many decades only stands as a remix of her song from Burlesque topped the dance chart.

So for nay sayers it won't mean anything, but for fans and perhaps people within the industry especially the dance genre (if that's the new route she's taking) it can't hurt.

Or do you really believe she sold MILLIONS of her (sorry,I mean of Dave Audios [what a stupid artist name]) music, and now she surpassed madonna, katy perry, lady gaga and all the other crap in the charts?

She is on #5 of an unimportant chart. A chart which is not even a chart, its a super-sub-category of the real chart.

Anyway, I don't understand the fuss with the billboard chart. Maybe I never bought anything which was in this chart. Good music can't be defined by charts anyway. And this chart doesn't tell anything about modern music at all. It's nice if you are recognized there and no artist would be offended if he finds himself there, but it's not the Holy Grail Of Music. It's commercial, not artistical, and it's here and now. Most billyboard music won't be listened to in a decade or so. So, if you are interested in snapshots of the current bad taste then gape at billy-hopsa-popsa-board!
