and its from the song "zashishatya ochkami" which means protected by glasses.

its a song about a Solar Eclipse.
they're singing about the sun disapearing...
and then they're like "i will! i will! protect myself with glasses"
cos remeber, in an eclipse, if you look at it..you'll go blind...
Oh and about the video, is it a proper music video, or is just them recording it at Podnesnebaya?
cos...its not on tatu.ru
maybe someone could post a Low Quallity (maybe ten meg) versoin here? i havnt seen it. |

The video basically is a mixture of different concerts, shootings and pictures of the recording and other stuff. Manski added shoots of them in the subway, at the station ....
You can say it first shows all the success of tatu, and later the "downfall".
At the end you see Ivan saying: "Ya ne gruppa taty" lol.
I have the video its low quality, about 17 MB. I upload it if you want.

It was, indeed, recorded during the Podnebesnaya period. The reason for it not being on the official website is unknown, but I suspect it eventually will be there, when things are quiet again and the girls haven't released new material for a while...
Strictly speaking, the title of the song is Защищаться очками (Я буду) [Zashchishchat'sya ochkami (Ya budu)], and the translation of the title would be more appropriately rendered as (I will) Protect myself with Glasses. The verb is защищать with the suffix -ся added at the end, indicating that the verb is used reflexively (which is why it should be translated in English using a reflexive pronoun). Я буду is the expression of the future tense in Russian, and in this case, is the first person singular form (thus the necessity to use the reflexive pronoun in the first person singular when translating into English).

To the best of my knowledge, all the songs you have listed, with the exception of Chto ne khvataet, are songs which were recorded in one form or another during the Podnebesnaya period.
Zashchishchats'ya ochkami (Ya budu) and the early version of Ty soglasna were recorded by both Yulia and Lena, while Belochka featured only Lena's voice. The Lyudi invalidy demo was recorded by an artist/duo whose identity remains unknown to this day.
The Chto ne khvataet was recorded by a group called Commutator Spiritus and featured mostly Lena's voice, although the chorus might have been sung by someone else. The amount of distortion applied to the voice (in the chorus) makes it difficult to say with any degree of certainty whether it is truly Lena's voice we hear or whether it's someone else's. This demo/early version is believed to have been recorded while Yulia was still pregnant with Vika.
As for the Podnebesnaya CD, the only "official" Taty v Podnebesnoy CD is this one: http://www.ozon.ru/context/detail/id/1657902/
although it should be noted that the only "Taty" song on that disk is Belochka, which, as stated above, is sung by Lena alone. All the songs from this CD can be downloaded from the Podnebesnaya website here: http://www.podnebesnaya.ru/music/index.htm
There are also many songs (or instruments of torture, whichever you prefer to call them) which can be downloaded from STS's Taty v Podnebesnoy website here: http://podnebesnaya.rambler.ru/songs/mp3.html
although what little I've had the patience to download and listen to was mediocre, at best. You have been forewarned.

I recall an official source stating that the Lyudi invalidy demo, which had been circulating on the Internet for months prior to the recording of the song for Taty's new album, had nothing to do with either Lena or Yulia... but since I can't retrace the exact source of that information, you don't have to take my word for it.

After an investigation with the help of close to the group sources we
could state that the demo track had a direct connection to the second
album of t.A.T.u. The final version of the song can, of course,
undergo some changes. Both lyrics and arrangements can be polished and
altered as it often happens at final stages of track recording and
mastering; but the demo is the track which was brought by t.A.T.u. to
Los Angeles.
A few details around the text could be interesting too. The original
lyrics honour bombing of Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki and
speak about people who suffered from radiation. The song is written in
a typical t.A.T.u style, where it's possible to give more than one
interpretation of its contents.
